ORCA's February 2022 membership meeting will be held Monday, February 28th and will be held virtually on Zoom. We currently plan to hold in-person meetings again as soon as it is safe to do so, hopefully in March.
BOLI Commissioner Val Hoyle, is our featured speaker this month. She is one of Oregon's top statewide elected officials, and is a leading candidate for US Congress in Oregon's 4th Congressional District - the seat being vacated by US Rep. Peter Defazio.
Commissioner Hoyle has joined us before and has always been a wellspring of helpful information and guidance for folks in nascent industries like ours, and a big supporter of treating cannabis businesses like normal businesses - and so we look forward to hearing more about her congressional run!
We will also go over the latest news from the 2022 short legislative session in Salem - including the most up-to-date information on what's happening with the Equity Investment Act (SB 1579), the cannabis license moratorium (SB 4016), and the sales tax increase (SB 1506)!
