ORCA's August Monthly Membership meeting will be on Monday, August 30th.

We were hoping that we would be able to resume in-person meetings this month, but unfortunately - due to rising COVID case counts and the spread of the delta variant - we have chosen to follow public health and safety guidelines.  As such, our August meeting will also be a virtual event held on zoom.

This month, we'll be talking about the legislative priorities we plan to pursue in Salem in the coming year - and how we can refocus our efforts to get some of our priority bills to successfully pass into law in the February Short Session.

To aid in this discussion, we'll be joined by former State Representative Akasha Lawrence Spence - who has been a tireless champion of sensible cannabis policy and one of the lead architects of the social equity bill we supported this year. 
Rep. Lawrence Spence is also seen as the most likely candidate to receive the nomination to serve as the Senator for Senate District 18, so she will likely be a powerful voice in policy discussions moving forward.
